The unique mounting method of the Cornered top-boxes allows for a large variety of different applications, some of which are shown in the illustration to the right:
1a: Vertical in corner. 1b: Vertical on wall. 2a: Horizontal in corner. 2b: Horizontal mid-wall. 3: Coupled together in mid-wall position. 4: Coupled together in mid-ceiling position.
With a 90 degree triangular shape, the design of the Cornered top-boxes allows for mounting flush against a wall or ceiling, without a bracket taking up space behind the cabinet. With mounting holes integrated into the cabinet design, installation takes a minimum of time and the grille covers the mounting points.
Coupled together back to back, two Cornered cabinets can be mounted flush onto walls and ceilings, offering up to 180 degrees of coverage. Obvious placement is either vertically in corners or horizontally between wall and ceiling and the low weight allows the products to be installed easily by one person.
The top-boxes are extruded in aluminium and are therefore more compact and lighter than a similar wooden cabinet. At the same time, the aluminium cabinet works as a large cooling surface and reduces power compression significantly.
All top-boxes are available with either Speakon, XLR or screw terminals. Speakon is practical for non-fixed installations whereas XLR's are somewhat more dicsreet and practical when the speaker cable is running externally on the wall. The screw terminal version is designed for installs where the cable comes out of the wall directly behind the cabinet. |
